Improving Infrastructure The Dutch government announced on Thursday that it will spend 2.5 billion euros to improve transportation and other infrastructure in Eindhoven to ensure that Dutch lithography machine giant ASML (ASML) will not move its business.
The Netherlands launched a plan called "Beethoven's Action" to retain ASML. The above amount is part of the plan. This multi-year fund will be used to improve housing, education, transportation, and power grids in the Eindhoven area. ASML is the largest technology company in Europe and the world's leading supplier of computer chip manufacturing equipment, with its headquarters located in the suburbs of Eindhoven.
