According to reports, the Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on Monday (15th) announcing that Prime Minister Lee will step down as Prime Minister on May 15th (Wednesday). Prior to this, Prime Minister Lee will formally propose to President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to appoint Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong as the new Prime Minister.
