Under the influence of high air pressure, the weather in Tokyo and adjacent areas in Japan is warm and sunny, and the temperature in many places has risen to above 25 degrees before noon, just like summer weather.
The temperature in downtown Tokyo reached 25.6 degrees in the morning, setting the highest temperature record in March since records began in 1876. The temperature rose further in the afternoon. The Meteorological Agency said that 28.1 degrees was recorded in Chiyoda Ward at about 1:30 p.m.
Last year, the first summer-like weather was recorded in downtown Tokyo on March 24, with a maximum temperature of 25 degrees that day.
