Ukrainian media reported on Friday that Ukraine attacked a military airport in the Rostov region of Russia in the early hours of the day, destroying at least 6 Russian fighter jets and severely damaging 8 fighter jets.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, on the other hand, reported that Russia foiled Ukraine's attack attempt that day. Russian air defense systems shot down 53 Ukrainian drones in multiple areas such as the Rostov region, with 44 of them being shot down in the Rostov region.
Rostov Oblast Governor Golubev posted on social media that an unmanned drone shot down by the Russian side exploded near an airport in the area, injuring 8 people.
